Canadian import, Dave Cohen has been calling Nashville, Tennessee home for the last 3 years. Currently he spends his time on the road playing keyboards for 4-time Grammy nominated country artist, Joe Nichols.  When Dave is home, he freelances his fingers doing session work, live local gigs and contributes to the Keyboard column in “Canadian Musician” magazine.

His Versatility as a keyboard, organ, and accordion player earned him 3 consecutive Canadian Country Music Award (CCMA) nominations for Keyboard Player Of The Year (’07-’09). Recognition he received during a 5 year stint as keyboard player and Music Director for Juno/CCMA award winner and multi-platinum selling artist Johnny Reid.  Dave’s time with Reid includes playing on the famed DVD “Live At The Jubilee”, TV appearances on Canadian Country Music Awards, CMT Central, Canada AM, ‘Johnny Reid Live at Revival’, many CMT specials as well as a number of music videos.

Dave’s touring/performing/recording credits include 15-time platinum selling artist, Amanda Marshall, Grammy nominated artist, Emerson Drive and Juno Award winner, Tomi Swick. Since moving to Nashville, Dave has worked with recording artists Jer Gregg, Sara Jane Preston, Lee Anna James, Paul McDonald (American Idol Semi-Finalist and front man for The Grand Magnolias) and many more.

Being more than just a hired gun, Dave also currently performs with his own band, 6 fifteen and spends a lot of time as a studio musician for several producers in Nashville.
